Are Kiepe Safety Group’s security officers allowed to carry weapons?
No, that is prohibited in the Netherlands. Only security forces working for the government are authorised to provide armed security. Think of the police, the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, the Special Interventions Service (DSI) and the Special Security Assignments Brigade (BSB). Kiepe Safety Group’s security officers fall under the rules for private security companies.
How much say do I have in the tailored plan as a client?
The idea behind a tailored plan is that we put it together specifically to meet your needs as a client. We always do this in close consultation, so you do have a say. At the same time, from our position as security experts, we give guidelines. After all, that is what our clients hire us for. If we do not think something is a good idea, we say so. If something is too risky and therefore not feasible, you will hear that immediately. We always aim to establish a tailored plan in close consultation and agreement. In practice we always work things out well with our clients.
What is included in a tailored security plan?
A tailored plan is mainly focused on personal protection. You have a professional security officer entirely at your disposal. At Kiepe Safety Group we see our service as much broader than providing a bodyguard. Our officers act as personal assistants. We can also take work off your hands by coordinating facilities management. A tailored plan consists of the basic activities, such as providing personal protection, but we distinguish ourselves by doing much more.
How do you guarantee the quality of your security officers?
We work with a flexible pool of certified security officers. They are self-employed professionals whom we screen and coach ourselves. We help them with the right insurance, with their administration and with all the knowledge needed to do the work of a security officer. We only work with officers we would vouch for. Quality is our most important characteristic.
How does Kiepe Safety Group’s flexible security pool work?
Our model is a kind of partnership. The needs and wishes of the client come first. We first look together at what kind of security model is needed. After drawing up a tailored plan, we select the best-qualified officers for the job. Kiepe arranges everything: we find the right candidates, take all administration off your hands and arrange all payments, insurance and invoices. We work with a fixed and transparent management fee. In the contracts all costs are clear to everyone.

We work with a flexible security pool mainly in the corporate market. We do this deliberately, as it offers many advantages. In busy times we scale up, in quiet periods we scale down. That way we offer stability while maintaining quality. In addition, we set a high bar when recruiting. The flexible security pool model gives us the opportunity to bring in the best security professionals, and then deploy them with our clients in line with Kiepe’s core values.
What does Kiepe Safety Group expect from me as a client?
Complete openness and honesty. It is our job to secure and protect you as well as possible. Your physical safety comes first. To offer you that safety, we need information. A transparent attitude is what we ask for. When we ask questions or want information, we only do so with your safety in mind.
What kind of risk analysis does Kiepe Safety Group carry out?
Every security assignment starts with an extensive exploratory conversation. Our security experts ask many questions and we gather the necessary information. Think of the origin of a threatening situation, background information on those involved, the guest list of an event, or an on-site reconnaissance.
